A dynamic, adept and accomplished open water swimmer of some 35+ years who has recently chosen to pursue a coaching vocation as part of a lifestyle and career portfolio transition. Exceptional experience in all aspects of open water swimming including the English Channel, marathon and ice swimming.

My passion is sharing the sheer joy and exhilaration of open water swimming and being at one with nature whilst passing on my knowledge, experience and insight to anyone from anywhere who is interested enough to listen.

Getting into Open Water Swimming happened by accident and most definitely under duress when I was a student – and way before this genre was trendy. I was entered into a raft race and it was cancelled at late notice and was instead converted to a sea swim. To be fair, the year before most rafts capsized or sank and the majority of crew were sea swimming anyway!

My biggest achievement is undoubtedly, helping four rather poor ability swimmers who could who could not swim front crawl succeed in an English Channel relay crossing after 18 months of coaching.
